Fuel Surcharge

J&A Freight Systems will build in a portion of our rates to include a fuel surcharge. The J&A Fuel Surcharge is based on the National Average Price of Diesel Fuel published by the US Energy Information Administration. Imposing a fuel surcharge allows rates to flucuate in line with the variable cost of Fuel.
Please reference the below chart to calculate the current J&A fuel surcharge. You will need to know US Price of Diesel as published on the US Energy Information Administration Website to use this table. Alternatively, you may call the Energy Information Administration’s price hotline at (202) 586-6966 to obtain the National Diesel Cost Average.
